The Armata Light 63 blank is designed for slowly working jigs from 20 to 80 grams through the entire water column. This 40-gram blank, 9.15mm at the butt and 1.4mm at the tip, can handle 3 kilos of drag. The best balance between sink rate and action is achieved with PE 1.2 braid.
The extra-fine tip acts with a suppleness which, combined with the surprising power reserve extending two-thirds of the way down the blank, gives jigs and lures a formidable "spring" effect. It's possible to use slow jigs up to 150 grams by reeling the blank back 6 feet from the tip.
